Clear roles. Fair terms. Safer bookings.
Pre-launch framework for VineRoam, a Switzerland-based marketplace connecting travellers with independent wineries worldwide.
Traveller Terms
Contract structure. VineRoam provides discovery, booking and payment-facilitation technology. The winery named on the listing is the independent provider and the traveller’s contractual counterparty for the experience.
Booking. Before payment, travellers see the provider, essential characteristics, date, capacity, total price, currency, mandatory charges, cancellation rule and restrictions. A booking is binding only after electronic confirmation.
Traveller duties. Travellers provide accurate information, arrive on time, follow safety rules and local alcohol/age laws, and disclose relevant accessibility or dietary needs.
Liability. The winery is responsible for lawful and safe delivery. VineRoam remains responsible for its own platform obligations. No term excludes liability or consumer rights where prohibited, including for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
Law and disputes. Swiss law governs VineRoam’s platform terms without removing mandatory consumer protections or competent courts at the traveller’s habitual residence.
Winery Terms
Independent provider. Each winery acts in its own name and account, sets availability, capacity and price, and is responsible for licences, tax/VAT, insurance, staff, premises, alcohol and food rules, accessibility disclosures and delivery. No employment, agency, partnership or franchise is created.
Warranties. Identity, business data, descriptions, prices and availability must remain accurate; listing media must be properly licensed. VineRoam may verify, suspend or remove listings.
Payment and commission. Before activation the winery completes identity and payout verification with the designated payment provider. VineRoam deducts the expressly disclosed commission and pays the balance subject to refunds, disputes, reserves and chargebacks. The final rate appears before acceptance.
Failures. The winery funds refunds or chargebacks caused by its cancellation, inaccurate listing, non-performance or breach. VineRoam may refund travellers under the displayed policy and recover the corresponding sum where lawful.
Indemnity. The winery indemnifies VineRoam against claims caused by its unlawful conduct, inaccurate content or non-delivery, except to the extent caused by VineRoam. Mandatory law prevails.
Privacy Notice
Data. VineRoam processes contact and identity data, winery verification information, booking records, communications, security logs, photos, listing content and limited transaction identifiers—not full card details.
Purposes. Data is used to operate bookings, verify providers, prevent fraud, comply with law and resolve disputes. Marketing requires a lawful basis and opt-out.
Sharing and transfers. Relevant data is shared with the selected winery, payment and service providers. International processing uses applicable safeguards such as adequacy decisions or contractual protections.
Retention and rights. Data is kept only as needed for service, accounting, fraud and claims. Applicable rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability, plus complaint to the Swiss FDPIC or competent authority.
Security and minors. Proportionate safeguards apply. Minors may not book alcohol-related experiences; wineries enforce local age restrictions.
Cancellation & refunds
The policy shown before booking applies: Flexible (full refund until 24 hours before), Moderate (72 hours), or Strict (7 days). After the cutoff the price may be non-refundable except where mandatory law applies.
If the winery cancels or cannot provide the material service, the traveller receives a full refund of amounts paid through VineRoam. Material listing inaccuracies and documented exceptional circumstances are reviewed fairly.
Alcohol-related experiences are leisure services on a specific date; cancellation rights vary by jurisdiction. Checkout displays the applicable policy and obtains express acceptance.
